STSN: A Brief History
STSN was established in Fall, 2003 by a small group of interested professionals from around the country.  The focus of this core group was to research the elements necessary for a professional organization that would address the needs of speech-to-text service providers, consumers, and administrators.

The official 'launch' of STSN was at the PEPNet Conference in April, 2004, in Pittsburgh, PA.  Working with an ever-widening group of colleauges since then, consistent progress has been made toward the establishment of a permanent professional organization for speech-to-text service providers, consumers and admnistrators.

The current STSN Organizational Structure includes a Board of Directors and four Officers.
